The 10th International Library and Information Science Society Conference (I-LISS 2026) was successfully held from 26–28 August 2026 at Hotel UiTM Shah Alam.

International Academic Benchmarking Session | UiTM × BINUS University

On 11 September 2026, the Faculty of Information Science, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), successfully conducted a virtual Academic Benchmarking Session with the School of Information Systems, BINUS University, Indonesia.

The session focused on the curriculum review and enhancement of the Bachelor of Information Science (Honours) Information Content Management (SI263) programme, providing valuable insights into industry-aligned competencies, emerging digital content management trends, and best practices in information systems education.

Our sincere appreciation goes to the leadership and academic representatives of BINUS University for their valuable expertise, insightful exchange, and commitment throughout the session.

This strategic engagement reflects the faculty’s continued commitment to academic excellence, curriculum innovation, and meaningful international collaboration in preparing future-ready graduates.

Program Satu Irama, Dua Budaya | 21 November 2025

Program Satu Irama, Dua Budaya merupakan sebuah inisiatif pertukaran budaya antarabangsa yang dianjurkan oleh Information Content Society (iCONS), Pusat Pengajian Sains Maklumat, Fakulti Sains Maklumat, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Kampus Puncak Perdana. Program ini telah dilaksanakan di Dewan Serbaguna, dengan penglibatan pelajar UiTM dan pelajar antarabangsa dari Universitas Airlangga, Indonesia.

Program ini bertujuan untuk mengeratkan hubungan silaturahim antara pelajar Malaysia dan Indonesia melalui pendekatan pertukaran budaya yang interaktif dan santai, di samping meningkatkan kefahaman serta penghargaan terhadap persamaan dan keunikan budaya dua negara serumpun. Pelbagai aktiviti berteraskan pembelajaran berasaskan pengalaman (experiential learning) telah dijalankan, antaranya Mini Cultural Exchange Corner, Traditional Game Challenge, Short Performance Exchange dan Cultural Reflection Wall, yang memberi ruang kepada peserta untuk berkongsi tradisi, bahasa dan nilai budaya masing-masing.

Secara keseluruhan, program ini bukan sahaja menyokong usaha pengantarabangsaan fakulti dan pembangunan kemahiran insaniah pelajar, malah turut memupuk nilai toleransi, kerjasama dan perpaduan serantau dalam kalangan generasi muda. Inisiatif ini selari dengan aspirasi Fakulti Sains Maklumat dalam melahirkan graduan berfikiran global serta berkeupayaan berinteraksi dalam persekitaran masyarakat berbilang budaya.
